EXPERIMENT 1.0

Imagine if we could not only understand from what and how garments are made but also, how they can be cared for, reused and the impact they have on society and the planet.

Imagine if we could create and implement something similar to the food traffic light system.

A garment traffic light system.

Well, that’s why we are bringing people together: to turn a simple yet complex to realise idea, into reality.

Garment traffic light rating system (GTLS)

There are 5 proposed areas of ‘traffic light’ratings:

Material

Manufacture

Design

Carbon footprint

We believe you shouldn’t need to be a sustainability expert to understand what you are buying. We also know that consumers value transparency and are willing to pay more for sustainable goods. *

We exist to make it easier for brands to produce products in a more sustainable way and help consumers navigate product information that informs their purchasing decisions.

* Our knowledge is based on data and facts that were not generated by Lab 2030. We are here to change that.
